Your responsibilities
- Act as the primary QA representative within the team, driving quality ownership and engineering best practices
- Design, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions across APIs, integrations, and asynchronous systems
- Independently identify test coverage requirements, quality risks, and gaps in requirements or delivery approaches
- Validate integrations, payload mappings, downstream processing, and businesscritical flows across multiple systems
- Analyse logs, observability data, and distributed system behaviour to investigate issues and support root cause analysis
- Confidently communicate quality concerns, risks, and recommendations to developers, analysts, and stakeholders
- Manage multiple workstreams and priorities effectively while maintaining delivery quality
- Support and influence shift-left testing practices within the development lifecycle
- Contribute towards scalable quality engineering approaches, frameworks, and standards
About the project
We are looking for a highly capable and self-sufficient QA engineer to become the primary quality engineering resource within a fast-paced delivery environment.
This role requires someone who can work independently, think critically, and confidently drive quality across complex integration and event-driven systems with minimal supervision. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing multiple priorities, making informed decisions, and operating effectively within evolving and sometimes ambiguous delivery environments.
The role goes beyond traditional testing and requires a strong quality engineering mindset, covering automation, integration validation, coverage design, risk identification, and collaboration across technical and business teams.
