  • minimum 10 years of commercial experience in software development
  • commercial experience as a Software Architect, Solution Architect, or Lead Architect
  • excellent knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and enterprise application development
  • experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures
  • experience with REST APIs, messaging solutions (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ), and system integrations
  • experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB)
  • experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • strong understanding of software architecture patterns, scalability, security, and performance optimization
  • experience taking technical ownership for software delivery, from solution design to production
  • ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership mindset
  • willingness to evaluate and adopt new technologies where they create business value
  • German at B2 level or higher

About the project

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Architect to join Kyotu Technology and help design, build, and evolve complex enterprise systems.
This is a hands-on architecture role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, translating business requirements into scalable solutions, and actively supporting engineering teams throughout the delivery process.
We're looking for someone who combines deep technical expertise with curiosity, ownership, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Beyond architecture, you'll have the opportunity to explore and apply modern technologies, including AI, LLMs, and machine learning, where they can bring real business value.
