Our requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB administration (on-prem)
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • Experience with:
  • PostgreSQL / MySQL clusters and tools (pgbouncer, pgpool, HAProxy)
  • Database backup and recovery
  • Database installation, upgrades (minor & major)
  • Data migration tools (pgdump, pg_restore, mysqldump, etc.)
  • Knowledge of monitoring and performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with replication and HA solutions
  • Experience with automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform)

Optional

  • Knowledge of PITR (Point-in-Time Recovery) and continuous archiving
  • Cloud certifications (Azure AZ-900, AWS CCP, GCP Digital Leader)
  • Python certification (PCEP)
  • EDB PostgreSQL certification

Your responsibilities

  • Provide L3 support for PostgreSQL / MySQL / MariaDB environments (on-prem & cloud)
  • Diagnose and resolve performance and availability issues
  • Maintain and upgrade database environments and clusters
  • Manage high availability and replication solutions
  • Perform database migrations (on-prem → cloud)
  • Automate DBA activities using Python, Ansible, or Terraform
  • Manage backup and restore processes (e.g. Barman, Networker)
  • Support database provisioning and deployments
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers
  • Create and maintain technical documentation (HLD / LLD)
