Senior/Lead Developer (React, Java)

Our requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including experience in designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong commercial experience with Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience building modern applications with React.js and TypeScript.
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and responsive web development.
• Strong experience working with AWS services in production environments.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native development.
• Strong experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
• Solid experience with SQL, relational databases, and performance optimization.
• Experience with frontend testing using Jest and React Testing Library.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern frontend build tooling.
• Proven ability to design software architecture, drive technical decisions, and take ownership of complex technical initiatives.
• Experience mentoring developers and leading technical discussions across teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with distributed teams.

Optional

• Experience with Kafka or other event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Hadoop or Apache Spark.
• Experience with Next.js.
• Experience with Redux, Zustand, or similar state management solutions.
• Previous experience in Healthcare or Life Sciences projects.

Your responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and evolution of scalable full stack applications using Java and React.
• Architect and build robust backend services with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, SQL, and AWS.
• Drive the development of modern, reusable, and high-performance user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Define and evolve frontend architecture, design systems, and reusable component libraries.
• Make key architectural decisions, evaluate technical trade-offs, and drive engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA Engineers, Architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver business value.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions following modern software engineering principles.
• Lead code reviews, ensure high code quality, and champion clean code and software craftsmanship.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability across the entire technology stack.
• Drive CI/CD improvements, deployment automation, production monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Mentor and support other engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and pair programming.
• Contribute to technical roadmap planning, estimation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
