Our requirements
- Senior experience in data/platform engineering
- Hands-on expertise with Databricks & Spark (production-level)
- Solid experience with Kafka and streaming architectures
- Proficiency in Python / PySpark / SQL
- Experience with CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions) and IaC (e.g., Terraform)
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Strong English - at least B2+
- Experience as a Lead Developer or Architect - a strong asset

- Delta / Iceberg, data governance & cataloging
- Designing serving layers (APIs, SQL, reverse ETL)
- Experience with IoT, time-series data, or manufacturing
Your responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technical solution (architecture + hands-on delivery)
- Design and build streaming pipelines (Kafka → Databricks)
- Lead and guide developers (technical planning, reviews, alignment)
- Define and enforce architecture standards (governance, lineage, access control, data contracts)
- Build reliable, scalable cloud-native data products
- Collaborate with global data science, ML, and business teams
- Drive best engineering practices (CI/CD, IaC, code quality, AI-assisted development)
About the project
We’re looking for a Lead Data Engineer / Developer to join our client's Data Science & Engineering team in Poland and help build a next-generation, streaming-first data platform on Databricks for IoT data.
This is a greenfield initiative where you’ll own the technical solution end-to-end.
